About Us
Prime Delux is an independent skatestore based in Plymouth.
We have been heavily involved in our scene since 1990. We are half responsible for the setup of Flatspot skateshop and Flatspot Skatepark. In 2003 we moved on and acquired Public Skateboards and built The Domain Skatepark on the outskirts of Plymouth. We did a few things, like distribution, agency work, skatepark design and consultancy, but we really missed the skateshop side of things and working with our scene. When Flatspot moved out of town in 2006 to focus online there was a strong demand for a decent skatestore. The timing was rubbish, with the recession and all, but our passion and beliefs drove us here. We opened Prime Skateshop on the 4th October 2008 where we received full-on support from everyone. We were overwhelmed with appreciation and support.
With our gratitude in mind, we wanted to put everything back in to the scene and so we set up a totally not for profit company “Prime Skatepark Community Interest Company”. This is an indoor skatepark facility for the benefit of our customers and the community as a whole.
